Today was my first last day of high school. As I walked in and looked around I noticed most of the people I grew up with were all here. Some excited for what's next, some sad, and some just so ready to leave, to begin a new chapter in their lives. As the day went on, I ended up in a Health class with all freshmen, I couldn't help but think, "wow, so this is what it's like to see freshman through senior eyes". The thing was, it didn't make me feel wiser or smarter, it was as if I was looking at myself through someone else's eyes after a long time. You freshman out there, I'm telling you high school seems like a long time but its gone in a blink of an eye. Make the most memories possible, live life to the fullest while being safe and smart about it. Go to all the homecomings, proms, football games, pep rallies if you can. Join a club, or sports team, stand out from the crowd. Go to parties and have fun, you don't have to get drunk or high to do it either. Dress up on homecoming week even if its just plain silly to you. One day you will wish you could just be that silly again. Just be you and have fun, eventually you'll want it all back for a day even if you don't believe it right now. Appreciate all high school has to offer, one day you may miss out on something wonderful. We will be watching all of you, and be hoping you make the best of it while it lasts.
