If you stop growing in Christ you will fall prey to deception where the things that the unbelieving fear will be introduced back to you in the guise of "deliverance." You will receive teachings full of human philosophy which appear to have a show of wisdom which take you back to the old mindset you had before you got born again.

Instead of being taught who you are in Christ, what you have in Christ and what you can do in Christ, you will be taken back to the basic beliefs of the world on how to stop witches and wizards stuff. Instead of faith you will grow more in fear!

1 Timothy 4:2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;

So what is taught by those who come with human wisdom.

1 Timothy 4:3 Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.

Did you see that they have in their doctrine they teach that you should not marry so that you won't be defiled or you should not eat this meat or that thing because it can make you unclean? But every creature of God has created is good if it is received with thanksgiving by the man who believes and has come to the knowledge of who the new man in Christ walks!
